ACCOMPLISHMENTS DCA 2025 – Wooster & Great Plain Cemeteries
(Accomplishment=completed activity/project between April 2025-March 2026 which is now
visible and/or accessible to/for lot owners.)
- 68 caskets 53 cremains three scattering gardens and three green burials
- Heirship and burial rights of plots addendum to purchase contract
- Updated Rules & Regulations posted on website to maintain seasonal and sightly décor placement and removal at gravesites
- Find-a-grave information for all burials at Wooster and Great Plains and search can be done online.
- Review of all paper files in DCA possession/storage; approved shredding for outdated papers/statements/documents (or per IRS record-keeping guidelines)
- Soil refill project along Ellsworth Avenue has provided ~50 new plots available for sale Section 25
- Probing beyond current Green Burial area has provided ~90 new green burial plots available for sale in Section M. The area is directly across the path from the original green burial section.
- Refurbishing of bench and plantings at Scattering Garden
- Improvements to “special use only” entrance/exit at upper Ellsworth Avenue
- Additional Islamic Society contract finalized
- Additional paving, stone fill, pothole repair at Wooster and Great Plain
- Veteran memorial flag placements\
- Great Plains burial/gravesite mapping
- Minimal Winter weather property damage due to pro-active tree maintenance
- Water meter updated
